With Journalism Under Historic Attack, Washington Post Media Columnist to Speak at New England First Amendment Awards

NEFAC to Honor Journalist Margaret Sullivan, Local Right-to-Know Advocates at Boston Event

Margaret Sullivan, media columnist for The Washington Post, will speak on current challenges to press rights at the New England First Amendment Awards luncheon, the region’s seventh annual celebration of the First Amendment and the public’s right to know.

Sullivan — along with the Sun Journal of Lewiston, Maine, and freedom of information advocate Donna Green — will be honored by the New England First Amendment Coalition. Sullivan’s expert views and the annual awards are certain to be newsworthy at a time of unprecedented efforts to undermine trust in the media and in fact-based news and information.
